How much will it cost?


Course costs are listed on our courses page, where you can search for the particular class you wish to study, see how much it costs and find out if there are other materials or equipment you may need.

What's the time commitment?


Start and finish dates for your course and the number of hours per week of study are listed in the course information sheets for each course that can be found on our courses page and on our Virtual Learning Environment, Moodle (external link)

 

Will I need to know anything before I go?


Entry requirements and any expected prior knowledge or skills will be explained in the course information sheets for each course (see links on the previous query). You may also be asked to undertake an initial assessment, where a trained member of staff or tutor will talk to you about what you have done previously and help you decide the right level of course, or make arrangements to give you additional support to undertake your class.

 

Will it give me what I want?


Our course information sheets will give you a course outline, and list the qualification to be gained or the anticipated outcome for the course. Your course tutor will discuss progression opportunities with you. You can also get confidential, impartial advice from the National Careers Service (external link)

 

Are the teachers and provider any good?

How will I learn?


Your course tutor will explain delivery methods (for example discussion, practical work, written work) and the balance between them. How will the learning be examined or assessed?


Your tutor will explain the assessment methods used (for example observed practice, written exam, portfolio, assignments) and the balance between them

 

Will I be able to get the most from the opportunity?
