The Village Green Surgery - Apprentice Receptionist


The Village Green Surgery based in Wallsend, Tyne and Wear, NE28 6BB, have a vacancy for an apprentice receptionist to join the existing reception team doing a variety of work in a busy GP practice. You will work alongside doctors, nurses and other administrative staff. Full training will be given. Tasks will include dealing with patient queries both face to face and on the telephone, taking prescription requests, updating patient records, liaising with doctors on patient queries, reception work, telephone answering, booking patient appointments and general clerical duties. 


The post offers 4 weeks holiday per annum.


Applicants need to have good computer skills and be familiar with Microsoft Word and 
Outlook.

Salary £6.40 per hour


Full time – working hours 8am – 4 pm. (1/2-hour lunch break)

Business Administrator level 3

 

ITL (North East) Limited is an Interpreting and Translation company based in Felling, Gateshead, situated a 5 minute walk from Felling Metro Station or 10 minutes from Heworth Interchange. They provide interpreters for local councils, the NHS, courts etc.

 

They are looking to appoint an apprentice administrator to work from their office. You will obtain a qualification in Business Administration at level 3.

 

Main purposes of job


To book interpreters for ITL customers and to ensure that the interpreter is given all of the booking details by email. 

 

Key tasks


1. Answering Telephone calls
2. Dealing with general enquiries
3. Booking interpreters for face to face and telephone appointments.
4. Using a database to schedule appointments.
5. Use of company email to respond to queries and provide booking confirmation of appointments.
6. General administrative duties such as filing and photocopying when instructed.

 

Working Hours


Mon – Fri, 9.00am – 5.00pm (30 mins lunch break)
