Who we are:

Our Careers team offer all of our learners the opportunity to receive confidential and impartial information, advice and guidance. We want to encourage you to identify your career goals so that you can meet your full potential. We use the latest labour market information to help you make informed decisions on your learning, training and employment.

What we can help with:

We can help our learners to

  • develop a career plan
  • search and apply for jobs
  • write CVs, covering letters, application forms
  • improve interview techniques
  • gain work experience and volunteering opportunities in the local area
  • meet with employers, universities and training providers
  • attend careers fairs and events

We will also work with employers and curriculum managers to coordinate, provide and deliver courses to local workforces in order to meet their training needs.

Labour Market Information

Labour Market Information (LMI) informs us of new developments and jobs within a particular geographic area. It helps us explore careers, industries and businesses that operate in that area. You may find the links below useful;


LMI for All is an online data portal, developed by the UK Commission for Employment and Skills and currently funded by the Department for Education, which brings together existing national sources of high quality labour market information that can inform people’s choices about their careers.


Nomis is a service provided by the Office for National Statistics, ONS, to give you free access to the most detailed and up-to-date UK labour market statistics from official sources, where you can get the Labour Market Profile for Newcastle upon Tyne.
